In the UK there are many Accountancy bodies that have been set up to be able to set a standard amongst accountants. The offices of all of the accountancy bodies are based in London. This is due to the fact that London is the place that is most populated with qualified accountants and practicing accountants. There are 5 main bodies that regulate accountants in London.

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) are based in London and represent the financial managers and accountants that work for the large London based corporations and also other businesses in the UK. The CIMA represent accountants in all business sectors.
